What Should I Wear?

I get asked this question a lot as my clients prepare for their sitting. Here are a few recommendations I have:

1. Keep it simple. Big, bold patterns and logos tend to take away from YOU, the focus of the photograph!

2. Be Comfortable. Wear something that you feel confident and attractive in. Those feelings definitely come across in your photos. You won't want to spend your session messing with your clothes.  Keep this in mind for small children as well.  If they are not comfortable with what they are wearing, it might become difficult for them to focus on taking photos, as they may be preoccupied with their clothing.

3. Try it out. Try on the outfits you are thinking about ahead of time and check it out. Do they look good with your skin tone? Do they match the look you are hoping to achieve in your photos?

4. Keep in mind where your photos are going to be taken. You don't want to wear clothing that will blend in or clash with your backdrop.
